The wired floor of the Ferrets cage should be covered with something such as sticky tiles. Ferrets should not be able to walk on the wire or the wire will damange their feet and the ferets scoot after using the toilet.
How do Ferrets react to wood chips, cedar or pine?
Do not use cedar, pine or wood chips in the Ferrets cage because they produce oils and dust that irritate the skin and lungs and can cause respiratory problems in your Ferrets.
